The Naturals:
Judd Hawkins
Judd Hawkins is a former marine that oversees the Naturals home in Quantico. Not much is known about his past until the second book, where the name Scarlett comes up. However, it’s not discovered who she is until the third book where it is revealed that she was an old friend of Stirling’s who was Judd’s daughter. She was one of the victims of Nightshade, the serial killer that went after the main killer in All In. Judd is targeted by him in the book, but ends up surviving with the help of The Naturals, Briggs, and Stirling. Nightshade is arrested and the truth is learned about Cassie’s mother. It is also revealed that Scarlett was a scientist with the FBI, who really shouldn’t have been killed in the first place. She shouldn’t even have been in the lab at the time. Judd is extremely protective over the kids and is against them going on active cases, he even goes along with them on the first active case that they are allowed to go on. Although that is possibly because he is their guardian. He even gets them their room originally, until Michael decides to get them into a fancier one. Something Judd doesn’t object to because he can tell that he is having a hard time.
Significant Character Relations:
Dean Redding: Dean was the first Natural to live in the house with Judd, which occurred after Judd lost Scarlett. They most likely have a closer relationship than Judd with everyone else.
Cassie Hobbes: Judd is one of the people to talk with Cassie after her mother’s body is discovered and has had several conversations with her regarding different aspects of her life.
Veronica Stirling: Stirling is an old family friend who Judd basically watched grow up because of her friendship with Scarlett. He remarks on the way the two girls would play together, always going on adventures and wanting to learn new things. Especially Scarlett.
Scarlett Hawkins: Scarlett is the late daughter of Judd who was killed by Nightshade. He doesn’t mention her much before the second book, mostly because he didn’t see any reason to tell the Naturals. Possibly because he think that they have enough on their plate as is.
